Random Characters provide bonus missions for you to complete, however not all of them are required for 100% game completion. To receive your 5% for this section, you will need to complete the random characters listed below with the colour blue. We have also provided a map to show you the location of every random character. For those required for 100% completion, if they have a mini-series (multiple missions) then every mission in their line must be completed.

When you are near an unlocked Random Character, a blue “friend” icon will appear on your mini-map, if you are walking near them, your camera will zoom into their location.

Some characters appear only at night-time, if you turn up and they’re not there (but you have done the mission that unlocks them, if applicable, and you haven’t killed them previously) come back later.

Badman

Becomes available after “Shadow” – LJ series

 

Pick up Badman and go to take out Russian gangsters, there are three of them in an alley so you should try running over them. You will be paid $500.

 

Brian

Unlocked after “It’s Your Call” – Roman series

 

Encounter 1

 

Simply talk to him and he will give you $100

 

Encounter 2

 

Pick up Brian and take him to his dealer to get $200

 

Encounter 3

 

Take Brian to his dealers to pay off a debt. You need to watch over him, once he is attacked point your gun at the dealers (shoot them if you want), then take Brian home.

 

Cherise

This ones only available if you spare Cherise in “Ruff Rider”.

 

Teach her boyfriend a lesson, beat him up, but don’t kill him.

 

Clarence

He will only be available if you didn’t kill him in “Holland Nights” and after “Blood Brothers” – Francis McReary series.

 

Eddie Low

He can only be found at night, try 12pm (midnight)

 

Encounter 1

 

He asks you to drive him to the docks then to Star Junction.

 

Encounter 2

 

Again he can only be found at night (try about 3am). He’ll attack you, kill him.

 

Gracie

Available after “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend”.

 

This is the girl you kidnapped earlier with the pink car. She’ll recognise you and call for her family’s mob. Simply use cover and kill them all, pick up the money.

 

Hossan

Hossan will be selling fake handbags. He will ask you to accompany him. You’ll be given $500.

 

Ilyena Faustin

Available after “The Puerto Rican Connection.” – Manny series.

 

She wants you to get a guy to leave her daughter alone. Beat him up but don’t kill him.

 

Ivan

Ivan will only be available if you didn’t kill him in “Ivan the Not So Terrible”.

 

Take Ivan to get his money. You’ll end up in a shootout, there are three on ground level, one on the fire escape (left) and one on the roof (right), they all drop cash. You’ll be paid $1000.

 

Jeff

 

Encounter 1

 

Jeff suspects his wife of cheating. You must follow her to a cafe, once inside go upstairs and take a photo with your phone. You’ll be paid $1000

Encounter 2

 

Jeff will call your mobile phone for this one. He wants you to dump his wife’s body. If any cops see the body you’ll get a wanted level. You may be able to fail the mission and keep this car with the body in it, we haven’t tested.

Encounter 3

 

Simply watch the cutscene, pick up the money then hop in the car and drive away.

Marnie

Encounter 1

 

She asks you to take her to her dealer. You’ll give her $500.

Encounter 2

 

She will appear in the morning (try 10am). She asks you to drive her to Grand Easton Station.

Mel

Becomes available after “Escuela of the Streets” – Manny series

 

This is the guy Niko knocked over in the cutscene before “Bull in a China Shop”. He asks you to take him to his loanshark, who wants to settle the debt with violence. There are three people poorly armed, you;ll be paid $500.

 

Pathos

 

Encounter 1

 

Some haters will taunt Pathos. It’s best not to wield any guns etc. before the cutscene as it will attract the attention of cops. Beat the guys. If you’ve attracted cops they’ll probably open fire on those involved in the fight.

Encounter 2

More haters will attack and shoot Pathos, you must save him and drive him to hospital before he dies.

Sara

Available after “The Puerto Rican Connection” – Manny series, after Hossan’s task. You will probably find her at night.

Encounter 1

She talks some shite then drive her home. Her husband will try and beat you so point your gun at him. Shoot him if you want, not sure if it’s required.

Encounter 2

Try looking for her before 12am (noon). She wants you to get a package for her from Perseus. You’ll need to pay $500 for the package. You’ll be paid $1000.
